In December 2025, ArtSpace lost a treasured member of our community.
Harriet Jean DiLuzio, age 79, of Acton, MA passed away on December 6, 2025, surrounded by friends and family at Lahey Hospital. She died from injuries caused by a tragic accident that occurred on December 3, 2025.
Harriet studied painting at Boston University School of Fine Arts and later completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Services at Lesley College in 1994.
Harriet was a talented and prolific artist who created drawings, paintings, and custom paper mâché animal boxes. She was inspired by the beauty and animal life she observed in Acton and Gloucester and through her travels throughout New England, California, Europe, and Africa.
Harriet achieved her dream to have her own studio space at ArtSpace Maynard, where she frequently created, exhibited, and sold her art. She also displayed her work at the Always Art co-operative, the Concord Art Association, the Acton Council on Aging, the Scout House, the Littleton First Baptist Church, and the Westford Parish Center for the Arts.
Harriet was devoted to her family and is survived by three daughters and several grandchildren.
